We continue to meet together in 2018 as one people becoming ONEVOICE before God
Throughout October 2017, over four thousand Christians attended the OneVoice meetings across Tauranga. At least 22 church congregations were represented, and together we experienced anointed worship, incredible unity, and grew in love towards one another. We’ve heard many testimonies of people being inspired, refreshed, and revived. Some of the outworkings of the month, were a number of salvations outside the church walls, the city streets saturated in prayer, and people freshly stirred to share the love of God.
The word that has continually been brought before us is ‘momentum’, and several trusted prophetic voices have spoken the words of ‘birthing’, ‘release’, and ‘momentum’. There has been a unanimous agreement to continue forward with what has begun in our city.
CONTINUED COMBINED CITY-WIDE GATHERINGS
With the support of a number of our city’s leaders and pastors, we are continuing OneVoice gatherings as a place for the Body of Christ to come together and unite as one. There are brothers yet to come to the table, so let this be an opportunity to provide a place for the assembling together of the wider Body of Christ. We believe that God is drawing us into a ‘John 17:21’ work in our midst, to bring into greater measure, the unified Body of Christ in our city – to make us one, for the glory of His name.
Details of upcoming gatherings for 2018 are posted on the EVENTS page.
We look forward to continue meeting together going forward, and contending for a move of God in our city: that the world may know we belong to Christ, because of our love for another another.
WEEKDAY PRAYER, WORSHIP and TRAINING
For 31 days of October 2017, we gathered together to worship and pray for our city, and held training sessions on evangelism, prayer, intercession, and more. We were blessed to have speakers and musicians from across the Body of Christ, and ministry times that encouraged and equipped many.
In 2018, ‘Kairos Company’ (formerly ‘Pray Tauranga’) will be hosting regular weekday meetings in a similar format to October. Please check our Events page above, and follow our Facebook page for news and updates.
Venue: Journey Vineyard

Who is running the event?
The facilitation of the event is administered by 'Pray Tauranga', a prayer resource base for inspiring and encouraging prayer. We are committed to empowering and championing a culture of prayer in the Church, and mobilising corporate prayer and worship gatherings.
There are also various individuals and churches across the Body of Christ in Tauranga who are taking on various parts of running the event.
What are the core activities for the month?
For future 'OneVoice' events in 2018, we are planning to continue:
- prayer and worship gatherings, and training sessions in prayer;
- Sunday night city-wide prayer and worship gatherings;
- prayer-walking teams to walk every street and strategic place in the city (visit http://praytauranga.nz/prayerwalking/ for further info and instructions)
To stay up to date on all events and meetings, please follow Pray Tauranga on Facebook..
Who is participating?
We are inviting the Body of Christ of Tauranga to come together to participate with the sole purpose to unite and pray for our city. We will also be promoting the event outside Tauranga, and inviting others to come and join us. The event won't be aimed at any particular ministry stream or denomination, and we won't be promoting speakers or personalities. It will be cross-denominational, multi-generational, and open to all believers of Jesus Christ.
Will there be different kinds of prayer and worship expressed?
The nature of the event, and how the different ways prayer and worship will be expressed, will largely depend on who gets involved from different streams from within the Body of Christ. We would welcome your input and participation so all feel included.
For the Sunday night services through the month, a combined team of musicians from a number of different churches will be leading the worship times.
Do I need to register?
You don't need to register, and all events are free and open to all. Registering your interest simply lets us know how best to plan for numbers so we can hire the most suitable venues, as well as recruit enough volunteers so all aspects of the month are well-organised and enjoyable for all.
How can we be involved?
First of all, register your interest so we know you're coming! Secondly, if you'd like to volunteer, please fill out the form under 'Get Involved' and someone will be in contact with you.
Let your church leaders know of the event, and direct them to the website where they can fill out the Church Participation form. Thanks for helping us spread the word.
